this is banjo's first summer without day camp for 4 years. all i can say is that i'm feeling so sad... i will miss the people who know my heart better than most. i love you all!

Sooo...

I did something crazy.. I reapplied for Day Camp. I didn't think that I was going to. And I still don't know for sure if I'll be there or not, but I did reapply and I'm trying to be open to see what God wants for me this summer. There's a fairly good chance that I'll be going on a missions trip to Uganda to work at some orphanages in May. Which is something that God has SO laid on my heart and I'm super excited about it. So be praying for me with that! And I want to hear what your plans are for summer! I miss you all.

In the spirit of the season we want to remind you all of the Christmas theme skit at the end of the summer in which Ollie was Santa, Bro was Mrs. Clause, Tiger Lily was Melvin the bad elf, and Smiles was the nice elf.  

WOOF.  WOW.  What a skit that was.  Santa lost and Melvin took over Christmas.

Here's hoping that your Christmas's look much more hopeful than this skit.

i just got hired for the spring at OSS!!! woo hoo!!! so i'll be moving to mount hermon in january and i am so excited! i am so excited to be working here and with this program and with the people! it is going to be awesome and i really feel that God is going to use me here! i can just feel it! woo! so i am stoked and just thought i would pass on the good news! yay! i love you all! yay!

Hi all,

I'm writing with a heavy heart because people I love are hurting. My friends and neighbors the Prices lost their home today. There was a freak explosion and their house caught on fire very suddenly. Will, who is my age, was close to home and ran inside to grab their dog Tucker and his golf clubs. Everything else is gone.

I thank God that the Prices were not home and not hurt, that even though it was windy a forest fire did not start (especially with my house and the Allen's living next door), and that the Prices are in a solid, loving community. They are OK and staying in a Mt. Hermon cabin right now.

Please pray for Jayne, Rich, and Will Price (and also Flip or Barrett who used to work Day Camp- he's older and living in Sweden now). Will was especially shaken up, since he ran inside the burning house. Please pray for the neighbors too, especially Heidi and my sister Sarah who heard the explosion and had to rally help and think about packing up their houses just in case the fire spread.
