I miss you guys...

So from what I hear almost everyone has headed to Bro's aunt's house for New Years and I'm really sad that I'm not there. I thought I was supposed to do this thing with my family for New Years, but then I found out that that wasn't the case and I just realized it wasn't in my budget to come and I'm really bummed because I really wanted to see all of you. But I hope every single one of you has a fantastic New Years, weather you're with the rest of the Day Camp family or off doing something else. I just wanted to say I miss you all and your in my thoughts and prayers all the time. I love each and everyone of you. And I know I'm early, but: Happy New Year!

Thanksgiving at the Herm was pretty sweet. Clutch, Freckles, Mippy, Hippy, and Betty (a guy actually) cruised into town to help for the weekend. Here's a few of my memories from the weekend...and Clutch and Frecks feel free to add and expand on them. ( :

~Watching the Rules Video and missing everyone like crazy

~All of Day Camp singing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer during Bible Study Skit

~Trying desperately to save Theme Skit from Betty's clutches-it was Italian pizza/Mafia style and he kept trying to kill people off including Clutch, a main character

~Mrs. P popping out of the front door of her cabin each morning that we woke her up to say thank you to us (an actual old lady was staying there for the week)

~The strongest little 5 year old I've ever met- she did close to 20 pull ups at the ropes course when we stopped there during our nature hike

~Some rockin' awesome stories we told the kids (Like the one where Clutch ate "Christmas salad" or poison oak, and had to talk in a really high voice for the rest of the story). Munchkin made it into a story too since she tried to sabotage Freckle's and my trip to Canada this summer.

"WHOA MAMA"- I miss you guys!!! Me, Sals, and Grom all got to see Dutch tonight at a Mariners game and let me tell you- it made us want to see you all sooooo badly!!!! I hope you're all doing great and loving life! Please, please come visit Seattle- you can sleep in my room!!! (ok so if you're a boy...then we may need to put you somewhere else- but COME!)

Today the wild jungle man on the far right was born...he chose the name "Coach" and we welcomed him into the tribe...now, even though the tribe is split up, tell him happy birthday!!!!

Missing you..

Guys, I miss you. Seriously. I started school again and as much as I love all my friends here it's just so different, there just isn't the bond we all have from working so closely all summer long and... It's just sad. But I've been thinking about you all a ton and Grom I promise I've tried to send you the answers to that email like 10 times, but the internet doesn't work in my room yet so it still hasn't happened yet.. But still, I love you guys and I hope you're doing well. --Freckles.

Hola Amigos

Hi friends, 

I am very excited about this new blog (and also that Spiff is engaged!!). Labor Day camp and Hispanic camp were fun but I'm missing a bunch of you who couldn't come.

Here are some memories from this weekend:

-Accidentally knocking Karl the mannikin over (and watching him break into his many pieces) as I attempted to hold his hand

-Theme skit (model style) where Yoda (Nova in the creepy Yoda mask) dragged off the models (Sunshine and me) one by one... The end!

-Eating the most amazing Pazooki ever with Salsa, Nova, and Bumpersticker

-A group of four 5/6 graders who were too cool for school and the one little dude who couldn't stop crying after seeing Yoda

-The little girl who puked- how precious!

Yay for real life now! I start my first shift at Peet's tomorrow. You all are welcome to come visit me in Mount Hermon this year!! ( :

LANYARDS

Ok...here's the problem.

I AM OUT OF LANYARDS.  I finished sunshine 7 string twisty lanyard which was my last one...now what?!  I definitely didn't see any lanyard string at Michael's....

In other news I think most of you heard by my broken foot is OK.  I don't need surgery or anything and am in a walking cast (a removable boot thing) until the start of school.  I am able to get around without crutches now which is fantastic.  ALSO I AM BORED OUT OF MY MIND!  Going from day camp life to stay at home everyday and do nothing life is LAME.  I can't wait till school.  AH!
